School Girl

Stripe Top: Vietnam | Pinafore Dress: Cotton On | Shoe: Sperry Top Sider | Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Went into Cotton On last month and my eyes was glued to this pretty pinafore dress. I stood there staring at the dress and was thinking of an outfit to go along with it. So, here's my pick. It made me reminisce back to my time in primary school where I can never ever have my school pinafore length above my knees. My dad personally brought me to purchase my 3 sets of uniform. I was telling my dad that having my pinafore below my knees would be really long and that my friends will laugh at me for being such a nerd but my dad told me I am going to grow and for the next 2 to 3 years, he do not have to spend on buying me my uniform. Very smart!

My new glasses blend in pretty well in giving me that geeky look. So, here's one of my favourite outfit in reminiscing the 90's days.

Here's my last post of 2013 as I will be pretty busy this weekend and prepping myself for my new semester. I wanna wish everyone a Happy New Year and I will see you soon here, at WITHINMYHIJAB. Hopefully, it will be a more promising year for WITHINMYHIJAB.

p/s: do keep the emails coming and you can share with me about everything under the sun. I would love to hear from you. For advertising, sponsorships and any general enquiries, I can be contacted at

Much Love,

Praises to the Almighty! Withinmyhijab is half a year old now. Thank you so much to everyone who have been following Withinmyhijab and have been sending me encouraging emails. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much. Reading all your emails have motivated me to keep blogging. Of course, there's many local fashion bloggers and to know I still have some of your support, that really motivates me to keep blogging.

This maybe my last post of 2013 and I hope 2013 have been a year of accomplishment for you as it has for me. I never thought I'll be attending my diploma graduation when I started of my ITE education. God has His way and I am really content with the path He have chosen for me. Secondly, getting myself employed in the industry I'm majoring gives me a bigger picture of what the industry is all about. Prepping myself for the future. Thirdly, applied for University and got myself enrolled. Meeting new friends and semester 1 have been so good so far. 2 more semesters to go! Last but not least, my E-Day! My partner and I never thought of getting engaged till our parents mentioned it. Small occasion just between families, I can never ask for a better one.

My resolution for 2014 is to complete my studies and secure myself a full time job at the end of it. The main priority now, as the pressure of saving my kachings starts now!

So, how's your 2013 and what's your 2014 resolutions?

Much Love,
Zahra J.

2 Degree Ice Art Exhibition in Singapore

If you have been following me on Instagram, you will be updated on my experience at an ice exhibition! Here's me sharing my personal experience.

*All pictures posted is from my own camera.

The first sculpture that caught my eyes when I first entered the exhibition. Our very own Raffles Hotel.

Just to let you know, although it is named 2 Deg, the temperature inside the exhibition is actually -15 Deg. Not to worry about the cold, you will be fully geared! Pay an additional $5 for winter jacket rental. If you have your won winter jacket, bring them! Save the $5. Entrance fee is inclusive of a free gloves. The two most important gears to keep you all warmth inside the exhibition.

The sculptures are amazing aren't they! It makes me feel like I have concurred Eiffel and New York within an hour plus! If you know what I mean! I can't stop myself from touching the sculptures with my bare hands and admire the art. It takes a lot of patience and my oh my, I don't think I can ever do it. My favourite of all will be the Ice Slide, of course!

Personally, the experience is really great! I am rather biased on this as I love winter! This is the place if you want to experience how cold winter is! Totally making me miss Korea's weather all over again. So, wait no more and enjoy the experience yourself before 15 May 2014!

P/S : The whole exhibition will take about an hour plus.
